Spontaneous trip to NY and Miami influenced by Clubhouse.

Since I started using Clubhouse on January 22th, I was crazy about the app.
I still remember that I could not sleep the first 2 or 3 nights by using the app.
I was invited to the app to promote business between Japan and the US but the plan never happened.

Clubhouse is a good platform to connect people from all over the world and it feels like listening abroad with an app.

Initially, I was following Startups folks and ended up hanging out with East Coast people in the US.

As I really enjoyed the conversation with them, my sleeping schedule was mess and my life was all about Clubhouse. Also this app made me want to visit NewYork to actually hang out with them in real life.

A guy called Nick replied to my tweet below and I decided to check the flight ticket to NY. I bought the flight ticket on Tuesday and flew to NY on Friday. It was a really spontaneous decision.

I spent 3 weeks in NY to basically meet people from Clubhouse and did sightseeing. As NY was more expensive than Tokyo, my money was going away so fast. But the city was really beautiful and interesting.

While I was in NY, I noticed some differences between NY and Tokyo below.

1, NY has few bathrooms (Almost no bathrooms in the train stations).

2, No internet connection between train stations in the subway (Pissed me off to use google map to check train schedule).

These frustration made me want to make a bathroom finder app for NY below.

Since I finished developing the app, there was no reason to stay in NY anymore, I flew to Miami for Bitcoin conference (I didn’t go in the end).

I stayed in a hostel for few days around south beach and enjoyed the beach filled with a bunch of “seaweed”.

As I really wanted to visit KeyWest so bad influenced by “America Love traveling room” on CH, I booked a bus ticket to KeyWest.

The scenery from Miami to Keywest was okay, but the town in Keywest was really colorful and beautiful and I really liked it.

After staying in KeyWest for 3 nights, I headed back to Miami to see beautiful wall arts in Wynwood. I was expecting to see the rainbow color wall paint below, but the reality was not what I expected.

This is my spontaneous NY & Miami trip influenced by Clubhouse.

How many Clubhouse friends have you met in real life? Me? I met around 20–30 people I think.

Have a good day!!

Yusuke
