Half a year in London
Hi all,
How are you?
It’s been 7 months living in the UK. The summer is over and now it’s winter.
I would like to reflect how I felt in this country.
When I moved here, it was May and the day time was really long like til 8pm.
My first job was a customer support for crypto exchange company which I got the offer before arriving in the UK. I accepted the offer as I was worried about the living cost in the UK. Actually the job offer helped me a lot to find a room when I arrived in the UK as the offer letter is required to find a room here.
I didn’t really like the customer service role as there was not much things to do.
So I had so many job interviews during my lunch time to get a sales related jobs.
It was lucky that I could have those interviews in summer time as it’s easier.
I finally got a job offer from a Japanese company through LinkedIn. I still remember the moment that I can finally quit my customer support role.
Now I’m in the new role for 3 months with 25 days annual leaves. The job role is okay and my pay raised as well. Due to my salary raise, my spending increased a lot.
So I will only use debit card from now on.
This is my life in the UK so far. There are other stuff I can write about but I’m so lazy at the moment.
Lastly, I’ll try to travel at least one country in Europe every month next year.
That’s it for now.
Have a good Christmas all🎄🎅
